Training With Muay Thai Legend Pornsanae Sitmonchai
Training With The Great Pornsanae at Evolve MMA
Pornsanae Sitmonchai has been one of my favorite fighters ever since I began training in the sport. He is known for his low kicks, hard hands and aggressive, berserker-like style. This type of fighting style easily wins the fans over since he’s always in an exciting fight and looking to put on a show to please the crowd.
But what really has earned him respect with fans and fighters alike is his tremendous heart and incredible work ethic.
When I was invited to Singapore to train at Evolve MMA with all the Muay Thai legends, Pornsanae was #1 on the list for fighters I wanted to work with.
Thanks to Chatri, Jason and the crew at Evolve, I was fortunate enough to get a private training session in with Pornsanae. I was anxious (and weirdly excited) to spar against Pornsanae because I was curious to see what his low kicks and forward-moving pressure felt like. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending how you look at it) his knee was acting up so he wasn’t able to do Muay Thai sparring, just boxing.
In addition to the sparring we did a handful of pad rounds as well. Check out the video below to get a look at what it’s like training with Pornsanae at Evolve in Singapore!
Pad Work and Sparring With Pornsanae Sitmonchai
Besides the fact that I got to wok with Muay Thai champions like Pornsanae, Nong-O, Dejdamnrong, Orono, Kru Yod, Sagetdao, Penek and others, I also got to enjoy the beautiful city of Singapore which was absolutely gorgeous.
I plan on coming back at some time in the future because the training was as good as it gets. I can only imagine how beneficial it would be working with these Thai legends on a daily basis… I feel like I would become an absolute BEAST! Of course this would be after getting my ass handed to me on numerous occasions haha
