Muay Thai Retreats and Thailand Training Camps
Costa Rica Retreat Vacations and Thailand Fight Camps
Interested in traveling AND training Muay Thai? Well how could you not be!
I mean seriously. It really doesn’t get much better than traveling to train Muay Thai. Not only do you immerse yourself in the sport that you love, but you also get to experience unique cultures while meeting some amazing people along the way… it really opens up your eyes to the world and the extraordinary people in it.
By traveling and training you get to focus solely on your Muay Thai skills… and that’s not even the best part!
The best part is immersing yourself in the culture and meeting a wide variety of unique, like-minded individuals that could very easily turn into life-long friends. Oh yea, did I forget to mention the delicious local cuisine that you get to eat on a daily basis? Oh yea, that’s what I’m talking about.
Muay Thai Retreats in Costa Rica
Wow. Words can’t even explain how amazing the 1st ever retreat was… but I’ll try my best to explain the awesomeness that was training Muay Thai in Costa Rica.
First and foremost, the Jungles Edge Resort in Nosara is the perfect place to stay. The owners Dave and Edie are some of the friendliest, most accommodating people you’ll ever meet and they’ve done a fantastic job creating a space for Muay Thai addicts to train, eat healthy and relax.
Every day we were served a buffet of a variety of healthy and absolutely delicious Costa Rican meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Literally every meal was something different and I was never disappointed! Not only that, but between the fresh-made smoothies and juices, it was hard NOT to be extremely healthy during the 7 days.
After munching out on some tasty food we would usually have some free time. We had to options of hanging out by the salt water Infinity pool that overlooks the jungle, getting a massage, walk/bike into town to do some shopping, or catch up on some reading while relaxing in a hammock. The great thing about being on the property is that we were literally surrounded by the jungle so we were able to watch monkeys climb from tree to tree and hear numerous species of bird calls. It was truly amazing.

Another aspect of the retreat that was awesome was the beautiful Guiones beach that is just minutes away.
We’d go down there almost every day to either watch the stunning sunset, have a bonfire, take surf lessons or even train a little Muay Thai too… it was epic!
Speaking of training, we did it sessions twice a day underneath the shade in an outdoor gym area. I made sure to mix up the training methods, techniques, drills and routines to make sure everyone was staying stimulated and learning something new every session.
Skills levels ranged from relative beginners to amateur fighters and we were all able to work together, push each other and help each other improve. It was an incredibly awesome group.

I truly had an absolutely amazing time at the Jungle’s Edge not only because I got to train everyday, hang out by the beach, and eat delicious food… but… I know this is going to sound corny…. because I got to share this amazing vacation with a group of passionate, like-minded people who wanted more out of life.
So, if you want to have a vacation where you’re able to continue with your training and come back in better shape than when you left (which is never the case on ordinary vacations) then you should definitely come train with me in Costa Rica!
Muay Thai Fight Camps in Thailand
I’ve been fortunate enough to make multiple trips over to Thailand to travel, train and fight. Each trip has been unique in it’s own way and each time I’ve not only been able to drastically improve my training, but I’ve been able to learn more about myself than I could have ever imagined.
Is it your dream to travel, train and fight in Thailand? Well, if you’re like most Muay Thai practitioners, I bet it is.

Khongsittha Gym in Bangkok and I have put together a Muay Thai Fight Camp that would consist of training, trips to Lumpinee Stadium to watch fights, seminars taught by high-level Thai fighters, and fight opportunities for those who want to step in the ring.
Here are a few of the details about our Nak Muay Training Camps in Thailand:
- There will be a 2-week, 4-week and 8-week option which will be all inclusive pricing with accommodation, training, tickets to Lumpinee, seminars from Thai champions and other activities.
- Based on the input from you and the rest of Nak Muay Nation, the next training camp dates will be in July and August (2016). We are also planning for one in January and February of 2017 as well.
- At the end of the 1-month, the one fighter who shows the most discipline, passion and dedication to their training will become a sponsored fighter for an additional month. You can either stay an additional month or choose to fly back at a future date.
- This is a fight camp, so it’s not for beginners. We are looking for those who have the basics down and are either looking to have an intensive training camp where they can experience authentic Muay Thai in Thailand, OR for those who want to fight and test themselves in the ring. That being said, you do not have to fight, but the option will be available.
- There will be weekly seminars taught by top Thai fighters like Saenchai, Petchboonchu, Kaew Fairtex and others, as well as trips to watch fights at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium (all included in the price).
Now, there will be a limit of 20 fighters due to there being only a certain amount of rooms available… so needless to say, spots will most likely fill up quickly.
If you’re interested in attending this fight camp for either 2, 4, or 8 weeks, sign up for updates now so you don’t miss out!
